Historical areas, hip restaurants and snowboarder infused pubs make Truckee a favorite all year round. Downtown Commercial row is full of eclectic shops and eateries. Concerts at the Regional Park bring out locals of all ages. The neighborhood of Tahoe Donner boasts a country club style restaurant, equestrian center and community ski area. To the East, Donner Lake is known for sun on the piers, sunsets over the rugged Pacific Crest and great July 4th Fireworks. Head West out of town and you’ll discover the family centric area of Glenshire, where the landscape becomes a bit more high desert. Your neighbors may even let you borrow their horse!
Truckee is perfectly situated for the skier – just about 20 minutes to a half dozen ski resorts. Add to that great rock climbing, mountain biking, cross country skiing and the Truckee river and you have an outdoor lover’s dream.
Due to the size of the Town of Truckee, any budget can be accommodated. From condos near to downtown to custom homes in a gated golf course community, Truckee never fails to impress.
